Casualty Angling dinghy out of fuel
Wind SW 2
Launch time 1819
Recovery Time 1835
Crew Dave Parry, Rob Judge, Dan Monk, Ben Crosswell
A member of the public called at the boathouse to inform the crew that a 16′ angling dinghy with three people on board had run out of fuel approximately three quarters of a mile NW of the lifeboat station.
He had obtained fuel for the boat, but had no means of getting it out to them.
The lifeboat therefore launched, and took the fuel out to the dinghy. The crew stood by as the engine was restarted, and then escorted the dinghy back to the launching ramp at Whitstable Harbour.
