In an emergency call 999 and ask for the Coastguard

Whitstable Lifeboat was launched at 6.40pm on Wednesday 5th April for the second time that day to assist the 7 occupants of a Bayliner speedboat which had run out of fuel a 1/4-mile west of the lifeboat station.

The lifeboat took the craft under tow to Whitstable harbour where the Herne Bay Coastguard unit were waiting and for those onboard to make arrangements for refuelling.

The speedboat and its occupant’s came from the Medway area. This was the second call of the day for lifeboat.
