In an emergency call 999 and ask for the Coastguard

Our RNLI volunteers were paged Sunday evening and the boat launched to reports of two jetskis grounded on the mud flats between Seasalter and Sheppy.

On arrival at the scene one jetski had already floated on the flooding tide and returned to Herne Bay. The other casualty had also just refloated and came over to the lifeboat and informed the crew all was well and that they were returning to Sheppy. As no asistance was required the lifeboat was stood down by the Coastguard and returned to station.

If visiting the coast and you see anyone you believe to be in difficulties please call 999 and ask for the Coastguard. Your call can make all the difference.
