In an emergency call 999 and ask for the Coastguard

The lifeboat was launched Tuesday afternoon to reports of an inflatable dinghy being blown offshore from Leysdown Beach.
On arriving at the scene the dinghy was quickly located and taken aboard the lifeboat.

The lifeboat then approached the shore under information received from RNLI Lifeguards South East located on the beach where the owners and the dinghy were reunited and it was confirmed that no one had been in the dinghy when the incident occurred. The lifeboat was stood down, returned to station and made ready for service.

If you are on the beach and your inflatable gets blown out to sea please call the coastguard to inform them if no one is at risk or if a lifeguarded beach let them know.
