In an emergency call 999 and ask for the Coastguard

£1100 was raised at the Whitstable Lifeboat Station Christmas fair held in the boathouse on Saturday morning.

Whitstable RNLI Branch Chairman Diane Lamberton said “The event is always very popular with a busy morning and the result was a good effort for the two hours of the fair”.

“We had our usual range of goodies on sale ranging from cakes and produce to handicrafts and bric-a –brac. We thank all those who attended and supported us the monies raised from the fair will go towards the continuing costs of running the station which has seen the lifeboat launched on 56 occasions so far this year”.
