In an emergency call 999 and ask for the Coastguard

£1375 was raised at the Whitstable Lifeboat Station Easter fair held in the boathouse on Good Friday morning.

Whitstable RNLI Branch Chairman Diane Lamberton said “This was a very good total. During the two hours of the fair we had all our regular stalls, handicrafts, produce, a bottle stall, a children’s stall with Easter eggs and as always hot cross buns proved very popular.

“We thank all those who attended and supported us and the monies raised from the will go towards the continuing costs of running the station which has so far this year seen our volunteer crews launch the Atlantic 85 lifeboat ‘Lewisco’ on four occasions”.
