In an emergency call 999 and ask for the Coastguard

£1056 was presented to the Whitstable Lifeboat Station on Sunday morning by the participants in a ‘Splash and Stagger’ sponsored swim, run and walk organised by Whitstable Swimming Pool and held on in September
Whitstable Swimming Pool Duty Manager Frances Smith who arranges the event said “About 20 people took part in the event, which we have held for the past 5 or 6 years which involves a 3-mile run or walk from the pool to Long Rock, Swalecliffe and return followed by 16-lengths of the pool itself”.
“This has now become an annual event for us and it has always been for the lifeboats. I would like to thank all people who took part and staff and volunteers who helped organise and run the event without whom, it would not happen”.
Mike Judge, Whitstable Lifeboat Operations Manager said “Yet again the splash and stagger has provided an excellent amount of funds for the RNLI”

“We hope that everybody who took part had a great time and feel proud of their continuing support for Whitstable Lifeboat and the RNLI”.
“We are coming to the end of what has been another busy year for the station with a whole range of rescues being carried out and this year we have worked closely with our colleagues on our flank stations and the lifeguards at Leysdown and it is thanks to the continuing efforts of our supporters that makes all this possible”.
