Whitstable’s Atlantic 85 Lifeboat Lewisco was launched at 1.50pm on Friday 30th December to assist a broken down angling dory 1-mile north of Reculver.
The lifeboat crew located the casualty craft and its male two occupants who had managed to restart their engine but had remained anchored to await the arrival of the lifeboat.

This was the 58th call of the year for Whitstable’s volunteer lifeboat crews.
