In an emergency call 999 and ask for the Coastguard

Whitstable lifeboat was launched at 3.41pm to assist a broken down jet ski reported as being between the Sea View Caravan Park, Swalecliffe and Hampton Pier, Herne Bay.

The lifeboat crew arrived ‘on scene’ and located the craft being ‘walked along’ by its male occupant in shallow water just off Hampton.

The male was brought onboard the lifeboat and the jet ski taken under tow to Neptune Jetty, Herne Bay where both were walked ashore by a member of the lifeboat crew to await the arrival of a trailer.

The cause of the jet ski’s breakdown where thought to be an electrical fault.
