In an emergency call 999 and ask for the Coastguard

Whitstable Lifeboat was launched at 10.45am on Thursday following a report of a listing yacht 1-mile off the King’s Hall, Herne Bay.

The lifeboat arrived ‘on scene’ to find a 6-metre yacht dragging it’s anchor but with nobody onboard.

The lifeboat crew attached a tow and took the craft to Herne Bay harbour where it was handed over into the care of the Herne Bay Coastguard and left on a mooring.
