In an emergency call 999 and ask for the Coastguard

Whitstable’s Atlantic 85 Lifeboat Lewisco was launched at 7.55pm on Friday following a report of two persons on a broken down jet ski 1-mile east of the pier at Herne Bay.

The lifeboat arrived at the scene and the two males, brothers in their 20’s were taken onboard the lifeboat.

As one of the casualties was very cold, the lifeboat requested an ambulance meet them ashore and the two and their craft were landed at Neptune Jetty where the Herne Bay Coastguard and ambulance personnel were waiting.

One of the two casualties was treated for exposure.
