In an emergency call 999 and ask for the Coastguard

Whitstable lifeboat station will adopt a festive air on Saturday 18th November when the annual Christmas fair is held in the boat hall.

The event is always a popular affair and is always well supported by supporters and friends of the lifeboat.

All the usual attractions will be on offer, Christmas raffle with a top prize of a seasonal hamper and 20 other prizes, tombola, bottle stall, cakes, and preserves, soft toys and knitted items and children’s games.

In addition  the station souvenir and coffee shop will be open for business selling a range of RNLI souvenirs and gifts along with the popular range of Christmas cards and calendars.

Whitstable lifeboat acting fund-raising branch chairman Diane Randall said “The Christmas fair is a long standing event in our calendar and our team look forward to welcoming customers old and new to the station.  Their support makes an important contribution towards the running costs of the lifeboat which so far this year has been launched on 47 occasions to a variety of incidents in the Swale, Whitstable and Herne Bay area”.

The fair is open from 10.00am to 12.30pm. Admission is .20p.
