In an emergency call 999 and ask for the Coastguard

There were plenty of hot cross buns and Easter eggs on offer when Whitstable lifeboat station held it’s annual Easter fair in the boat hall on Good Friday.

Diane Randall, Acting Chairman of the Whitstable RNLI fund-raising branch said “The Easter fair has been a long standing event in the station calendar and has always been popular with our regular supporters and new visitors alike and Good Friday was no exception. With the good weather brought out a good number of visitors who enjoyed all our usual attractions ranging from the tombola, cake and preserves stall, soft toy’s and children’s games and of course the hot cross bun’s proved very popular and as ever the lifeboat was on display outside the boathouse”.

“This year the fair raised £1291 with the souvenir shop and cafe taking an additional £500 which is a very good total and my thanks go to all those who supported the event including customers and our volunteers. The monies raised will go towards the continuing running costs of the station”.

A big thank you to all that came along.
